How does hemp help the environment?
Much research supports how hemp benefits the overall environment. Studies show hemp’s resistance to fungi, insects, and diseases, which means using fewer chemicals to manage hemp crops. Research also shows how hemp conserves more water than other textile crops (like cotton), needs less land to grow, is a sustainable fuel source, returns many nutrients back to the earth, and much more.
So we decided why not add a hemp pet leash to our offerings? Even though hemp is gentle on the environment, hemp is resilient. Hemp leashes are strong, soft, odor resistant and suitable for all size pets including large, active dogs.

Our Pawesome hemp pet leash is durable and made from 100% hemp canvas. This hemp pet leash is made to be hypoallergenic, odor-resistant, and earth-friendly. So no worries about sensitive skin for pups!
This hemp pet leash is the same quality as leading manufacturers. Our pet leash is 5 feet long, 1 inch wide, and created with 2mm-thick hemp. Hemp dog leashes (or cat leashes!) can be machine-washed and dried, making it easier for pet parents.
Washing Directions: Since it is made from natural fibers, washing does not wear our hemp leash out. Rather, each time you wash it our hemp leash softens. We recommend hand washing our leashes.
Hand Wash Directions (Recommended Wash Method)
1. Soak the Pawesom hemp leash in lukewarm water (max 86° Fahrenheit | 32 ° celsius) for around 5 minutes.
2. Using a brush, towel or hand wash, rub, massage and brush the item with a small amount of laundry detergent or dish soap to remove dirt or any stains present.
3. Rinse the item with cold water to remove all signs of soaps or detergents.
4. Hang the leash until it feels completely dry to the touch.

Machine Wash
Please always follow your washing machine’s recommendations. We recommend using a mesh/lingerie washing bag with your Pawesome leash at all times. *Pawesome is not responsible for any damage our items might cause to your washing machine.*
1. Soak the leash in lukewarm water (max 86° Fahrenheit | 32 ° celsius) for around 5 minutes.
2. Use the gentle cycle on your washing machine with lukewarm water. You may use your normal clothing detergent or we recommend using non-scented organic detergent.
3. Hang your leash from the hardware until it feels completely dry to the touch.
